Former Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko, has warned against collecting transport fare from a man without going to meet him.

In a video shared on her Facebook page in September 2025 while Iringe‑Koko was still serving as the State Police PRO. Iringe-Koko questioned the act of collecting transport money from someone without eventually showing up to see the person.

“Why would you collect transport fare from a man without going to see him? It's an offense, a punishable offense.” She further described the act as obtaining money under false pretence, referring to it as “419.” Iringe-Koko said she was sharing the information with her audience as a piece of advice, adding a light-hearted touch as she described herself as their “number one bestie.”

“I am here to give you this piece of information because I am your number one bestie.”

At the end of the video, she introduced herself as DSP Grace Iringekoko, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Rivers State Police Command. Her message focused specifically on the consequences she associated with collecting transport fare without going to meet the person who sent it.
